A manure processing apparatus for processing poultry manure into a fertilizer comprizes a drum dryer 1 provided with a stirring mechanism 3 for keeping the manure present in the drum dryer in motion during operation, the drum dryer being provided with a manure input 5 for raw wet manure and a fertilizer output 7 for dry fertilizer, as well as an air outlet 9 for discharging humid air. The manure processing apparatus further includes a condensation device 11 which is connected to the air outlet, as well as evacuation means 13, 15 for creating an under-pressure in the drum dryer 1. By drying the manure in the drum dryer at under-pressure, the drying process evolves more rapidly. The evaculation means 13, 15 are preferably formed by the condensation device 11. |
