摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a device to accurately detect the occurrence of an accident by making a computer to take into account that the number of changes of state per unit time detected by means of a protective device is larger than that detected during normal operation when the computer detects the occurrence of the accident in the system to be monitored in an electric power system. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic computer 4 which detects an occurrence of an accident based on the state of an electric power system 1 obtained through a transmitting and receiving stations 2 and 3, a change-of-state monitoring means 42 which fetches the state of the system 1 is provided and the fetched state of the system 1 is stored in a facility data storing means 41 and, at the same time, the change-of-state data are delivered to a change-of-state density calculating means 43. The means 43 calculates the density of changes of state from the change-of-state data and content stored in the means 41. The computer 4 completes the process after detecting the accident by applying the knowledge stored in a knowledge storing means 44 to the calculated change-of-state density and the state of the system 1 stored in the means 41.
