PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable shortening of a switching time from an operation system to a back-up system while suppressing power consumption when a failure takes place in the operation system.SOLUTION: A communication system 1 transmitting/receiving data to and from a network 6 via a plurality of interface parts provided between the communication system 1 and the network 6 is configured to comprise: an operation system interface part 2 that is in a state of being in operation on duty; a back-up system interface part 3 that is in a cold standby state at a normal time and transitions to a hot standby state upon receipt of a signal causing transition to the hot standby state; an information storage failure prediction part 4 that predicts a possible failure of the operation system interface part 2 on the basis of a tight operation state of the operation system interface part 2; and a switching part 5 that outputs a signal causing the back-up system interface part 3 to transition to the hot standby state when the information storage failure prediction part 4 predicts the possible failure of the operation system interface 2. |
