PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve simple and economical wastewater treatment and depressure treatment by reducing devices.SOLUTION: A control device 62 constituting a high pressure water electrolysis system 10 includes a normal-time water level control unit 52 and a depressure-time water level control unit 54. The normal-time water level control unit 52 controls a water level in the range between an upper limit of a normal-time water level and a lower limit of the normal-time water level in the normal electrolysis time. The depressure-time water level control unit 54 controls a water level in the range between an upper limit of a depressure-time water level and a lower limit of the depressure-time water level in the cathode side depressure time. A gas/liquid separator 14 is equipped with a first drain pipe 32 installed between the lower limit of the normal-time water level and the upper limit of the depressure-time water level and a second drain pipe 34 installed lower than the lower limit of the depressure-time water level. |
