The purpose of the present invention is: to perform control so as to achieve maximum-best-torque ignition timing and so that ignition occurs at the optimum timing at all times, without changing an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) rate or an EGR amount by which the best fuel consumption rate can be achieved; and to obtain the best fuel consumption and a stable combustion state. In order to achieve the foregoing, provided is an internal combustion engine control device for controlling an internal combustion engine in which connected are a humidity sensor for detecting the humidity of an atmosphere and an ignition device for igniting a mixed gas in a combustion chamber, wherein the control device is provided with a moisture amount calculation unit for calculating, in accordance with the detection values of the humidity sensor, the amount of moisture contained in intake air which flows into the combustion chamber, and an ignition timing control unit for controlling the ignition timing of the ignition device, and wherein the ignition timing control device executes control so that the greater the amount of moisture in the intake air as calculated by the moisture amount calculation unit, the farther the ignition timing of the ignition device is moved in the advance angle direction. |
