PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing tool that can be adopted to polish the outer peripheral surface of a metallic pipe previously fixed to a wall or a ceiling and can carry out such a polishing work simply and efficiently.SOLUTION: A polishing tool 10 that polishes the outer peripheral surface of a metallic pipe P is constituted as follows: that is, it includes: a body 12, which has a pair of annular side plates 12a,12b to compartment a polishing part of the outer peripheral surface of the metallic pipe P and to which an excess end s1 of a belt-like polishing sheet S wound around the polishing part of the outer peripheral surface of the metallic pipe P is fixed; a polishing sheet supporter 14, which keeps each of endpoints in the longitudinal direction of a plurality of parallel-arranged lateral components 38 jointed in a reed screen-like form by a pair of wires 40, 42 and is wound outside of the polishing sheet S; and a tension adjuster 16 that applies tension to the wires 40, 42 of the polishing sheet supporter 14. When tension is applied on the wires 40, 42, four excess ends 40a, 40b, 42a, 42b excluding wind-hook parts of the wires 40, 42 to the metallic pipe P are arranged on the same plane including the tangent of the metallic pipe P. |
