摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting polychlorinated biphenyl, enabling PCBs having 1 to 10 chlorine atoms and of kinds in a wide range to be extracted from an oily liquid including the PCBs in a short period of time through a simple operation.SOLUTION: The method for extracting polychlorinated biphenyl uses an extraction column 1 comprised of: a first column 10 including a first layer 13 of a single layer comprised of a silica gel; and a second column 20 detachably coupled to the first column 10 by a coupling member 30 and including a second layer 23 including a nickel oxide modified aluminum oxide or a silver oxide modified aluminum oxide. The method comprises: adding an oily liquid to the first layer 13; supplying an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent to the first layer 13 and passing the aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent through the first laye 13 and the second layer 23 in this order; setting the temperature of the first layer 13 to less than 35°C, hitherto; supplying an extraction solvent capable of dissolving PCBs to the second layer 23 in the direction inverse to the passing direction of the aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent and passing the extraction solvent through the second layer 23; and securing the extraction solvent having passed through the secondary layer 23.
