1. A bicycle disc brake rotor device having a rotational center axis, the bicycle disc brake rotor device comprising:
a base portion including iron; a surface portion formed on an external surface of the base portion, the surface portion including iron, aluminum, and chromium, the surface portion having a concentration gradient of chromium in an axial direction parallel to the rotational center axis; and a hub attachment member configured to be mounted to a bicycle hub assembly of a bicycle, wherein the surface portion is formed by a diffusion process, and the diffusion process comprises heating the base portion to 1000° C. in chromium and aluminum media, such that the surface portion exhibits a structural characteristic of diffusion hardened chromium-iron-aluminum alloy with the concentration gradient of chromium. |
