Provided is an optical lens which can be arranged on a substrate securely and with high precision. An optical lens 1 is disposed on a substrate 12 via an adhesive layer 13, the optical lens 1 being a rectangular parallelepiped lens 10 having: a first principal face 10a having a first light incident/emitting face 10a1; a second principal face 10b having a second light incident/emitting face 10b1, the second principal face 10b facing the first principal face 10a; first and second side faces 10c, 10d facing each other and connecting the first principal face 10a and the second principal face 10b; and third and fourth side faces 10e, 10f facing each other and connecting the first principal face 10a and the second principal face 10b; the side face 10d adjacent to the substrate 12 via the adhesive layer 13 being flat. |
