[Class 108 (i)] [Also in Group XIV] In a combined baby carriage and cot the frame is provided in known manner with keyhole slots for the reception of headed studs mounted on the body and a resilient lever pivoted or otherwise attached to the underside of the body is adapted to slide into locking engagement with the frame. The body 1 is provided with headed studs 4 which take into the key-hole slots 3 on the underframe member 2 and to the body is pivoted at 7 a spring-pressed lever 6 which is extended to provide a handle 8 near to the handles 9 of the perambulator. In placing the body 1 on the frame 2, the lever 6 presses on a channel 11 of the frame and as the body 1 is moved along to enable the headed studs 4 to engage the narrow parts of the slots 3 this lever slides along the channel 11 and may drop into an indentation 12 or the like, securely holding the body in position. To release the body the lever 6 may be raised by the handle 8 and the body removed. Guides 5 may be provided in the chassis. |
