The present invention relates to a test method for predicting a cardiovascular event, and provides a test method for evaluating the risk of the onset of a cardiovascular event specific to a chronic kidney disease (CKD) patient. The risk of the onset of a cardiovascular event can be predicted and a high risk group can be detected in CKD patients by measuring the level of a soluble vascular endothelial proliferation factor receptor 1 (soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1: sFlt-1) in blood in each of the CKD patients. Specifically, the prediction and the detection can be achieved through (1) a step of measuring the quantity of sFlt-1 in a sample collected from a chronic kidney disease patient in vitro; and (2) setting any value selected from 90 to 130 pg/mL as a cut-off value and detecting the risk of the onset of the cardiovascular event in the chronic kidney disease patient when a measurement value is equal to or higher than the cut-off value. |
