The present invention relates to a self-supporting underframe for a vehicle and to such a vehicle and to a corresponding production method. Constructed from fibre composite materials, underframes built on a monocoque have especially prevailed. Monocoques which have reinforcing elements are also known. For example, it is known to arrange elongate reinforcing elements in a supporting trough. The present invention has addressed the problem of reducing the mass, of increasing the rigidity and the forces which can be absorbed and of improving the results of an environmentally oriented overall view. The problem is solved by a self-supporting underframe having two elongate monocoques which are arranged parallel and spaced apart from each other and are at least 50% closed on at least four sides, wherein the monocoques each have a single-part, trough-like element (1) having at least one lower base (14) and two side walls (13) extending upwards from the base and at least one cover element (2) closing the trough-like elements over at least 50% of the longitudinal extent of the particular trough-like element, wherein the at least one cover element of each of the two monocoques in each case includes at least one cross-strut cover element (2), and the cross-strut cover elements of the two monocoques are designed as a common, single-part cross-strut cover element spanning an intermediate space located between the trough-like elements of the monocoques, and the cover elements are fixedly connected to the side walls of the monocoques. |
