peak general outline extracting means for extracting, from a spectrum of a speech signal as an object, a general outline of peaks represented by a curve along a plurality of local peaks of a spectral envelope of the spectrum; spectrum modifying means for modifying the spectrum of said speech signal based on the general outline of peaks extracted by the peak general outline extracting means; and speech synthesizing means for generating a speech based on the spectrum modified by said spectrum modifying means. |
