PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which realizes communication of high-speed/low-latency even between the substrates mounted on different shelves.SOLUTION: An encapsulation and switch part 5 includes a multiplexer 52 which multiplexes in a time division manner the data that is transmitted from a plurality of substrates 1, an encapsulation part 53 generated as an Ethernet frame, a plurality of switch parts 55 for performing Ethernet frame transmission/reception with other shelves, and a selector 54 which allocates, according to the switch part 55, the Ethernet frames from the encapsulation part 53. The selector 54 outputs the Ethernet frame from other shelves that is received at the switch part 55 to the encapsulation part 53, the encapsulation part 53 releases encapsulation, and distribution is performed to the respective substrates 1 at the multiplexer 52. |
