PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic fatigue tester capable of executing a fatigue test with large excitation amplitude without increasing the capacity of an oscillator even when a fatigue test is made on a thin test piece.SOLUTION: An end face of a fixture 16 is disposed at an antinode position of a steady wave which is generated by an ultrasonic transducer 11. A test piece S is disposed at a position separated away by a certain distance from the end face of the fixture 16. Since the length of the fixture 16 can be satisfactorily reduced as compared with a prior art, a node position of the steady wave is not positioned at the fixture 16, change in resonant frequency due to the heat generation or expansion of the fixture 16 is reduced. Thus, fatigue test with large excitation amplitude can be reliably executed. |
