An object of the present invention is to provide a means capable of exerting sufficient cycle characteristics in a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery which contains lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt composite oxide as a positive electrode active material. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery of the present invention includes a power generating element formed by stacking a positive electrode obtained by forming a positive electrode active material layer containing lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt composite oxide on a surface of a current collector, an electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode. In addition, at least one of the following conditions (1) to (4) is satisfied in the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. (1) A value obtained by dividing a direct current resistance [©] of the battery by a heat resistance [(m·K)/W] in a plane direction of the battery is 0.055 or more; (2) a value obtained by dividing a direct current resistance [©] of the battery by a heat capacity [J/K] of the battery is 3.080 x 10 -6 or more; (3) a value obtained by dividing a battery capacity [Ah] by a heat resistance [(m·K)/W] in a plane direction of the battery is 880 or more; and (4) a value obtained by dividing a battery capacity [Ah] by a heat capacity [J/K] of the battery is 0.05000 or more. |
