[Class 21] A tension ring for securing the closures of containers of the kind described in the parent Specification is modified (1) by providing the bushing m, Figs. 2 and 3, with a gap t into which the edge of tongue e of member d<1> projects when it engages member d so as to protect the securing pin g ; (2) by making the parts f, h, Fig. 6, of closure members d<1>, d of semicircular, semi-polygonal or like shape so that they form together a shape suitable for receiving a reclining cap m<1>, Fig. 7, the parts f, h being inset at k to facilitate securing of the cap ; (3) by providing lip i, Fig. 7, with an extension o, Fig. 8, which rests on the cover, the cover in some cases carrying a stop p which causes the tension ring to be drawn firmly against the edge of the container; (4) by making both parts f, h, Fig. 10, of circular, polygonal or like shape to receive a sealing cap, a depression q or an aperture being formed to permit puncturing of the seal m to facilitate removal. |
