This true density measurement device is a device that is used to measure the true density of a sample by a gas phase substitution method, and is provided with: a sample chamber for accommodating the sample, the sample chamber being pressurized through the introduction of an inert gas; and an expansion chamber into which is released the inert gas filling the sample chamber. The expansion chamber under conditions of normal use, is opened and closed by a detachable cover, and the volume thereof is modified by insertion or withdrawal of a volume modification member.

1. A true density measurement device for measuring a true density of an object to be measured with a gas phase substitution method, the true density measurement device comprising:
a sample chamber that houses the object to be measured, and is pressurized by introducing an inert gas into the sample chamber; and an expansion chamber into which the inert gas having been introduced into the sample chamber is released, wherein; the expansion chamber is opened and closed by a lid which can be attached or detached under normal usage conditions, and has a variable capacity that is changed by inserting or removing a capacity changing member.
