The present invention improves wear resistance performance while maintaining braking performance on wet road surfaces. This pneumatic tire comprises a plurality of main grooves extending along the tire circumferential direction on the tread surface of a tread section. A plurality of ridge sections adjacent to one another in the tire width direction are formed by the plurality of main grooves. At least two main grooves adjacent to each other in the tire width direction are formed in a wave shape having a periodic amplitude. The ridge sections formed between the wave-shaped main grooves are provided with: a plurality of lug grooves that intersect the tire circumferential direction and that are arranged in the tire circumferential direction such that both ends thereof communicate with the main grooves; and a plurality of narrow grooves that are provided between the lug grooves adjacent in the tire circumferential direction, that intersect the tire circumferential direction, that are arranged in the tire circumferential direction, that have one end communicating with the main grooves and another end terminating within the ridge sections, and that have a narrower groove width than the lug grooves.
