Aircraft comparison system with synchronized displays

A method and apparatus for comparing aircraft parts (106). A first model (238) is identified for a first aircraft (140) with first customer options. A second model (240) is identified for a second aircraft (140) with second customer options. First parts (302) for the first aircraft (140) in the first model (238) are compared with second parts (304) for the second aircraft (140) in the second model (240). Graphical representations (214) of the first parts (302) in a first location (320) and the second parts (304) in a second location (322) are displayed simultaneously on a display system (209). The second location (322) in the second aircraft (140) corresponds to the first location (320) in the first aircraft (140). Differences (246) between the parts (142) in corresponding locations (806) in the first aircraft (140) and the second aircraft (140) are visually displayed.
