PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a siding agent application carbon fiber in which an adhesive property of a carbon fiber and a matrix resin, and stability, high-order processability of composite physical properties when a prepreg is stored long-term are excellent; and a production method of the siding agent application carbon fiber.SOLUTION: A siding agent application carbon fiber is a carbon fiber in which a carbon fiber of a prescribed surface roughness is applied with a siding agent that at least includes: an aliphatic epoxy compound (A); and an aromatic epoxy compound (B1) as an aromatic compound (B), and is characterized in that a fraction (a)/(b) of (a) a binding energy (284.6 eV) component height (cps) attributed to CHx,C-C,C=C to (b) a binding energy (286.1 eV) component height (cps) attributed to C-O of a Cinner shell spectrum in which a siding agent surface is measured by X-ray photoelectron spectrometry at a photoelectron escape angle 15° is 0.50-0.90. |
