摘要 454,417. Shirt collars. CAMPBELL CO., 40, Worth Street, New York, U.S.A. April 9, 1936, No. 10531. Convention date, Sept. 5, 1935. [Class 141] A collar is formed of outer plies and an interlining carrying a suitable fusible material, e.g. strands of cellulose acetate, the interlining comprising a top portion formed of relatively fine fabric, and a band portion formed of relatively heavy fabric, the portions of the interlining being stitched together in overlapping relationship and defining a fold line within the top portion of the collar, and the outer plies and the interlining being secured together by means of the application of a suitable solvent together with the application of pressure, and, if desired, of heat. In making the collar, the top and band portions 4, 10 respectively of the interlining are stitched together at 16, Fig. 4, in overlapping position, and the interlining is then stitched at 19, Fig. 7, adjacent its lower edge to one of the outer plies 1 of the collar. The structure is then superimposed on the other outer ply 22, and the parts united by means of a seam 23, Fig. 9. The collar is then turned inside out, Fig. 11, and the parts thereof adhered together. The collar is either finished off as a separate collar, or stitched to the material around the neck opening of the shirt.
