A wireless communication device equipped with an RFIC element having first and second input/output terminals, and further equipped with an antenna element connected to the first and second input/output terminals, wherein the antenna element has: a radiation section that includes a first radiation pattern and a second radiation pattern; and a matching section that includes a linking pattern for linking the first and second radiation patterns, and also includes first and second connecting patterns that bifurcate from two separate locations in the linking pattern and extend to first and second end sections that connect to the first and second input/output terminals. Furthermore, the first connecting pattern has a folded section in which the direction of extension reverses between the linking pattern and the first end section, and the second connecting pattern has a folded section in which the direction of extension reverses between the linking pattern and the second end section. |
