PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that allows a user to easily confirm the last completed print information before print operation is stopped due to conveyance failure detection.SOLUTION: A printer 100 includes: a sheet conveyance path 9 for conveying a sheet S supplied by a paper-feeding device 7 to a discharge part 8 via printing means equipped with a secondary transfer part 6 and a fixing device 10; a sheet detection sensor 11 for detecting a conveyance state of a recording medium in multiple spots in the sheet conveyance path 9; control means for controlling conveyance operation of the sheet S; and a sheet retreating part 70 provided via a sheet retreating passage 12 branched from the sheet conveyance path 9 and having first and second retreating trays 14 and 15. The control means selectively conveys an individual sheet to the first or second retreating tray 14, 15 depending on a position of the sheet S within the sheet conveyance path 9 when a conveyance failure is detected. |
