PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end-stop type electric water heater capable of discharging water in a hot water storage tank through an easy operation as required amount only when a water supplying to the hot water storage tank is stopped.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an end-stop type electric water heater 1 in which a flow passage for water fed from a hot water storage tank 5 is opened or closed by a faucet 3 at a lower position than that of the hot water storage tank 5. The end-stop type electric water heater 1 comprises a water supply pipe 11 for connecting a water supply port 14 arranged in the casing 6 with a bottom part 5a of the hot water tank 5 so as to supply water to the hot water storage tank 5, a check valve 16 arranged at the water supplying pipe 11, a tap pipe 12 for connecting a top surface part 5c of the hot water storage tank 5 with a tap port 18 arranged at the casing 6 so as to feed the water in the hot water storage tank 5 to the tap port 18, a water discharging pipe 21 branched from a downstream side lower than the check valve 16 in the water supply pipe 11 and connected to a water discharging port 22, a water discharging pipe 13 for connecting the hot water storage tank 5 with a water discharging port 19 communicated with surrounding atmosphere, and surrounding atmosphere intake means connected to the hot water storage tank 5 to feed surrounding atmosphere into the hot water storage tank 5 when a pressure within the hot water storage tank 5 is lower than the surrounding atmospheric pressure. |
