Various novel Bifidobacterium longum bifidobacteria strains are described herein, including Bifidobacterium longum strain AH121A, deposited at the National Collections of Industrial and Marine Bacteria under the accession number NCIMB 41675. Bifidobacterium longum strain AH121A may be useful for the control and treatment of inflammatory disease.
