Provided is a fuel cell containing a unit battery having an anode electrode, an electrolyte film, and a cathode electrode in said order, a liquid fuel chamber which is formed from a space opening toward the anode electrode and which circulates or houses a liquid fuel, a gas-liquid separation layer disposed between the liquid fuel chamber and the anode electrode and capable of permeating gasified fuel, and a first interlayer disposed between the gas-liquid separation layer and the anode electrode and having a first through hole penetrating in the thickness direction, wherein the first through hole is disposed in a region that is different from a region that is immediately above the liquid fuel chamber in the first interlayer. Also provided is a method for using said fuel cell. |
