The invention relates to a failure prediction method and device of a flexible direct-current transmission convertor valve sub-module. According to the failure prediction method of the flexible direct-current transmission convertor valve sub-module, whether the operating state of the sub-module is abnormal or not is judged by combining an expected voltage change trend of a control instruction through comparison of actual voltage and expected voltage according to real-time monitoring of capacitor voltage of the sub-module. Compared with the prior art, the failure prediction method has the advantages that abnormal operation of the sub-module can be predicted in advance; protective measures can be taken in advance; failure propagation of the sub-module is prevented; the loss is reduced; the operation reliability of the convertor valve is improved; and the failure prediction method has very high engineering application value. |
