PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus with which reflective lighting and transmissive lighting can be accurately assembled.SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus is configured to read a reading target by converging a reflective light for which a light from a light source is reflected on the reading target, and a transmissive light. The image reading apparatus includes: a substrate; a line sensor section in which a plurality of light-receiving elements are formed in a main scanning direction on one side of the substrate; a lens array section in which a plurality of lenses are arranged in the main scanning direction and which converges the reflective light to the line sensor section; a light shielding section which supports a portion of the lens array section closer to the line sensor section or is brought into contact with a portion of the lens array section closer to the line sensor section and shields a light excluding the light converged by the lens array section; and a transparent body formed from a transparent member which accommodates the lens array section and the light shielding section in an accommodation section, covers a portion of the lens array section closer to the reading target and the light shielding section and includes an opening which penetrates in a sub scanning direction and extends in the main scanning direction for feeding a document. |
