Provided is a composite drive device being light-weight and compact and having little backlash. The composite drive device comprises a first output shaft, a transmission mechanism, a second output shaft, and a motive power source and is capable of distributing the motive power from the motive power source, between the first output shaft and the second output shaft. The first output shaft is rotatably supported around its own axis. The transmission mechanism has a pair of planetary gear mechanisms arranged facing each other upon the first output shaft. The second output shaft extends in a direction orthogonal to the first output shaft, between the pair of planetary gear mechanisms, links with the transmission mechanism, and is supported so as to be rotatable around its own axis. The motive power source drives the transmission mechanism. |
