AN APPARATUS FOR DRYING SEA CUCUMBER

A hybrid sea cucumber dryer comprising: a rectangular body having an upper member and a lower member. The said upper member of the hybrid sea cucumber dryer where drying is accomplished is mounted on top of the said lower member. The said upper member of the hybrid sea cucumber dryer comprising: a clear glass panel mounted on top of said upper member, a number of drying trays that easily slide into the tray holders, two vertical partitions that divide the said upper member into three, a number of doors for each division and air shutters which are all secured to the said rectangular body. The said lower member of the hybrid sea cucumber dryer where the drying air is heated in the absence of solar radiation is provided with a heating plate secured at the top portion of said lower member, an opening being secured on one side of the lower member, an air vent and a peep hole being secured at the opening, and a chimney protruding upwardly from the back side of said lower member. Said hybrid sea cucumber dryer uses a rice hull stove as heat source but other combustible biomass materials like wood, charcoal, corn cobs, etc. can be used as alternative fuel source.
