摘要 Apparatus and methods provide for a bushing 102 that compensates for thermal expansion and contraction to maintain a preload on a corresponding structure 122 at various operating temperatures. According to embodiments described herein, a bushing 102 includes two bushing components 104, 110 coupled to a load compensation sleeve 116 between the two bushing components. The load compensation sleeve has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) greater than the two bushing components and the corresponding abutting structure. The configuration of the bushing components and load compensation sleeve, along with the corresponding CTE characteristics, maintains the preload imposed by the two bushing components on the structure throughout operations at various temperatures.
