A method is provided for dynamic optimisation of bytecodes. The method comprises the steps of identifying at least one repetitive pattern in the bytecode; assigning a unique proprietary opcode for each identified repetitive pattern; creating metadata defining execution of each proprietary opcode; storing said metadata for use during execution of said bytecode; and optimising said bytecode for replacing each identified repetitive pattern with the corresponding defined proprietary opcode. A corresponding device, computer implemented system and computer program are also provided. |
