[Class 144 (ii)] A pneumatic tyre, especially for use on tractors, is formed with straight, obliquely disposed, tread ribs of wedge-section, the height of the ribs and the width of the intervening grooves being greater than the average width of the ribs. The Figures show typical forms of simple or chevron-shaped ribs which, as shown in Fig. 8, may be combined with a continuous circumferential rib. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a tread comprising staggered rows of projections of truncated pyramidal form. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.</p> |
