The invention provides a task management method and a device. The task management method comprises the following steps: a task is managed according to a task list in a group mode, node machines in the group are confirmed by a node machine in the same group according to a machine list, when a node machine in a normal operating state is confirmed to exist in the group, the group is confirmed to establish, joining the group is requested to the node machine which establishes the group, if the node machine in a normal operating state does not exist in the group, the group is established, self-configured task is operated according to task configuring information in the task list, and thus automatic management of the task is achieved, manual participation is not needed, so that problem of low task management efficiency is resolved, and occurrence of single point failure can be avoided. |
