[Class 40 (iii)] In a printing telegraph receiver, marks are printed on a paper tape to represent the received code combination at the same time as the printing of the associated character. Members 4, Fig. 1, each individual to a selector bar, are raised if their associated bar is operated and, by levers 5, bring a member 8 between a spring 11 and a printing bar 9. When selection is complete a frame 12 carrying the springs 11 is oscillated towards a paper tape 1 so that those members 8 which have been actuated operate their associated printing bars 9 to record the code combination on the tape 1.
