ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

An electrical connector assembly (16) having a connector body (28) and a conductive terminal (30) disposed within a cavity (32) in the connector body (28). The terminal (30) is held within the cavity (32) by a rigid stop tab (52) and a flexible lock tab (54) that engage the ends of the connector body (28). A flexible bias tab (60) having a fixed end (56) attached to the body of the terminal (30) and a free end (58) extending outward laterally from the body of the terminal (30) is configured to engage an inner wall of the cavity (32) and urge the body of the terminal (30) into contact with an opposite inner wall of the cavity (32), thereby inhibiting lateral movement of the terminal (30) within the cavity (32). The bias tab (60) may further limit rotational movement of the terminal (30) within the cavity (32). The bias tab (60) and/or any other feature of the terminal (30) do not engage a locking feature located within the cavity (32).
