[Class 74 (ii)] To effect patterning by reverse plating on a two - cylinder machine, are double-. ended needles 1 are moved radically to displace the threads. Jacks 3 are arranged in the needle tricks beneath the needles and sliders 2, and for normal plating these jacks 3 are projected so as to hold the needles in substantially vertical position. For reverse plating, the jacks 3 are selected by patterning mechanism and held in retracted position as shown, so that the needles are tilted. The threads are taken by these needles as shown in Fig. 2a so that when the needles are lowered and subsequently raised, the positions of the threads are reduced. |
