The decollator (10) has a stationary support part comprising a fastenable separator for engaging in a center cut formed at a workpiece (W) and moving a guide body (12) in front or behind a separation tool (23) i.e. saw blade, with respect to a working direction (AR). The separation tool is firmly fixed at the decollator. The support part comprises one or multiple halt contours at a guide element (50) and/or a guide bearing arrangement for assembling the separator such that the separator is aligned with the separation tool in the working direction.
