摘要 An arrangement for the CSS (close spaced sublimation) coating of substrates in which a perforated sheet 2 is arranged between a heated crucible 3 containing a sublimating substance 31 and the substrate to be coated 1, whereby the perforated sheet 2 has, on the surface facing the crucible 3 and/or the substrate 1, either a surface structure and/or a coating and/or a covering which increases the thermal emission in the direction of the crucible 3 and/or decreases it in the direction of the substrate 1. The surface structure or coating (Figs 2b, 2c, 25) that faces the crucible 3 may have a roughened or blackened surface. The surface structure or coating (Figs 2a, 2c, 24) facing the substrate 1 may have a polished surface or a bright surface that could contain Al2O3 or a reflective coating. There may be a sheet metal cover with openings 21 arranged above the perforated sheet and possibly a clearance 22 between the perforated sheet 2 and cover 21. The clearance could be filled with an insulating material such as carbon fibre or glass fibre.
