The household appliance (1) has an auxiliary device (3) with additive, where the additive is delivered to air and contains inclusion compounds. Odor particles present in the air are incorporated in the inclusion compounds. A motor-blower unit (5) generates air flow (7). A particle retention device (9) removes particles around the air flow. The auxiliary device is connected downstream to the particle retention device in a direction of the air flow, and is connected upstream to the motor-blower unit in the direction of the air flow. An independent claim is also included for a method for delivering additive provided in an auxiliary device of an electrical household appliance, to air.
