PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element capable of forming a hole injection transport layer having excellent hole injection characteristics by a low temperature process.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element having a positive electrode, a hole injection transport layer formed on the positive electrode, a light-emitting layer formed on the hole injection transport layer, and a negative electrode formed on the light-emitting layer comprises a step of forming a hole injection transport layer. This step further comprises: a layer for forming the hole injection transport layer formation step of forming a layer for forming the hole injection transport layer using a material for the hole injection transport layer containing a metal nanoparticle or a metal complex; and an oxidization treatment step of oxidizing the metal nanoparticle or the metal complex by performing plasma treatment for the layer for forming the hole injection transport layer. |
