PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device having a battery reception part for making it unnecessary to provide any component or complex configuration for detaching the battery reception part, and for preventing an infant or the like from easily extracting a battery.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device 100 includes a main body part 30 for outputting predetermined information and a clip part 10 for mounting the main body part 30 on an external component. The clip part 10 includes: a first holding part 11; a second holding part 12 disposed so as to be faced to the first holding part 11; and a connection part 20 disposed at the rear edge side of the first holding part 11 and the second holding part 12, for connecting the first holding part 11 and the second holding part 12 such that the holding parts are relatively rotatable. The first holding part 11 includes: a battery housing part 13 for housing a battery at a top end side; and a battery reception part 14 configured to be fit into the battery housing part 13, and disposed on a surface faced to the second holding part 12. The second holding part 12 includes a fixing part at a position faced to the battery reception part 14, the connection part 20 includes an elastic member 21, and the connection part 20 is configured so as to be rotationally energized in a direction in which the battery reception part 14 is brought into contact with the fixing part. |
