Provided are an image display device and a head-mounted display which enable the downsizing of an electrical configuration for detecting the attachment or removal of a reflection part with respect to a main body portion. An image display device (10) is configured so that a connection detection sensor (20) is provided inside of a second connection-end-part (274) of a housing (2). The connection detection sensor (20) is soldered to a sensor substrate (201). The sensor substrate (201) serves only as a substrate for the fixing of the connection detection sensor (20), and control of the connection detection sensor (20) is carried out by an electric substrate (205). Wiring (202) is provided from the sensor substrate (201) to the electric substrate (205), along an inner wall (283A) of a lateral wall (283). In the inner wall (283A), a pair of walls (204) which run from the second connection-end-part (274) side towards the electric substrate (205) are formed so as to be perpendicular to the inner wall (283A). The space between the pair of walls (204) forms a groove (203). The wiring (202) is provided inside of the groove (203). |
