PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing apparatus allowing application of an adhesive in a wide range of a sheet superimposing face, even without installing a large and expensive device, and a sheet processing method.SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus S includes a conveying means 22 conveying sheets P, an adhesive applying portion 2 applying an adhesive to the sheet P conveyed by the conveying means 22, a folding portion 3 folding so that an adhesive application face of the sheet P may become an inner side, and a pressing portion 4 pressing the folded sheet P. The adhesive applying portion 2 includes application nozzles 25 applying the adhesive in stripes to the sheet P conveyed by the conveying means 22 along the conveying direction. The pressing portion 4 includes pressing rollers peelably bonding folded pieces of the folded sheets onto an adhesive layer formed by spreading the adhesive applied in stripes. |
