[Class 113 (ii)] A metal boat is formed with built-in buoyancy tanks each formed of a top plate 2 and side plate 3 with transverse partition plates secured to the frames, the outer tank walls being constituted by the shell of the boat, which comprises metal plates extending outwards and upwards from the keel bar with transverse edges welded together to form the frames. Elliptical tank manholes may be provided, with internal doors secured by external nuts. A pair of bent bars may be provided, secured to the stem post and keel bar, having alternative holes for lifting-hooks. Specification 197,175, [Class 113 (ii)], is referred to. |
