PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up reading operation and increase free blocks which can be used for writing.SOLUTION: A memory system has a storage device and an information processor. The information processor determines whether read data corresponding to a first logical address area of the storage device is the same as first data, calculates a first size, determines whether read data corresponding to a second logical address area of the storage device is the same as second data, calculates a second size, and transmits the second data to the storage device when the second size is larger than the first size. The storage device has a nonvolatile storage medium and a controller which disables association from a specified logical address to a physical address when receiving a deletion notification specifying the logical address from the information processor and controls a physical block unassociated with the logic address as a free block.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
