Method for the determination of the precipitation intensity from a moving vehicle/boat, and system for the space-time characterization of a precipitation field on wide territory areas

The present invention concerns a method which allows to obtain precipitation real intensity values from data collected from one or more sensors of incremental wetting (detection of the water blade deposited on a inclined surface) placed on a vehicle (e.g. automobile or boat) in motion and the vehicle speed datum provided by at least one speed sensor. These real precipitation data are collected over time and, knowing the position of the vehicle, can be mapped on the territory obtaining a characterization of the space-time precipitation field on wide territory areas.
