PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of compatibly achieving steering stability and ride quality at a high level when employing a carcass layer of a double-layer structure having excellent damage resistance, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire, an inner carcass layer 41 and an outer carcass layer 42 are mounted between a pair of bead portions 3i, 3o, and the mounting direction of an inside and an outside of the tire is designated when the tire is mounted on a vehicle. In the bead portion 3i on an inner side of the vehicle, the carcass layer 41 is rolled up outwards from the tire inner side around a bead core 5i, its roll-up height is smaller than a height of a bead filler 6i, the carcass layer 42 is arranged on the outer side in a tire width direction from the bead filler 6i, and the carcass layer 42 is terminated on a side of the bead core 5i without being rolled around the bead core 5i. In the bead portion 3o on an outer side of the vehicle, the carcass layers 41, 42 are rolled up inwards from the tire outer side around a bead core 5o, and at least any one of them is rolled up to a position higher than a top point of a bead filler 6o. |
