A structure for supporting at least one diesel engine comprising at least one cylinder (4) in which a piston (27) connected at one end by a connecting rod to a crankshaft is movable in reciprocating motion. Said at least one engine is arranged in the structure with said at least one cylinder extending horizontally, said at least one engine being, adjacent to the crankshaft, rigidly connected with a first concrete supporting mass (1), being supported and surrounded by at least one bearing attached to the concrete supporting mass via a bearing support (2), while said at least one cylinder is supported by a second concrete supporting mass (3), being attached at the top part of same, the first and second concrete supporting masses being rigidly connected together by cross members (5) extending substantially horizontal and perpendicular to said first and second supporting masses. |
